After high school, I earned a Cosmetology certificate from STCC. In 1992, I took my State Board Exam and became a Licensed Cosmetologist.
Throughout my career in hairstyling I have attended various classes at the International Beauty Show in New York City. Many classes in hands-on product knowledge, coloring, cutting, highlighting, perming, and formal styling (“updo”) have benefitted me in my career. I have taken this training through top styling product vendors such as Pureology, Redken, Carmen, Schwarzkopf, and Matrix (just to name a few). In addition to hair styling, I am also qualified to do facial waxing.
I have also been trained to provide keratin treatments. These treatments provide amazing benefits by adding keratin back into your hair, leaving it feeling soft, shiny, and more manageable. With keratin, frizz and curl are eliminated and the amount of regular styling time is greatly reduced. It’s terrific on all hair types and if you have it done after a color service, it will help your color to last even longer.
Education in the ever-changing field of hairstyling is ongoing; which is what makes it so exciting…I never get bored with what I do!
